a guy i work with bet me $100 that his stock 96 beretta gt (3.1 v6 at, runs a 16.5 1/4 mile) could beat my 93 lude si (i/h/e,lsd,racing clutch,modified gears,cams,pistons, and other crap). i run pretty consistent mid 14's. what a dumb ass. oh well free 100 bucks

i'll post later on how he tries to get out of paying up, hehe




... i'm actually thinking of racing him with the windows down, sunroof back, stereo slammin, smoking a cigerette, with my girl in the passenger seat.... just so i can rub it in worse.

don't know all that much about berettas but let's hope it's stock. otherwise you could be eating your words. in my 230whp supercharged 5th gen i thought i was racing a bmw 318ti. what the other guy failed to explain to me was his M3 engine swap. his car looked like a completely stock 318ti, the best sleeper i've ever come across. so he challenged me to a race, he asked me what i had under the hood and was pretty vague with him so he obvously didn't feel compelled to be honest wiht me either. but there were no bets or anything, just a friendly race. i will say i surprisingly got a really good launch and had him til about 40mph about a car's length. after that he kept pulling and by 100, he had me about 1.5 car lengths. so good luck with the bet, i would say you should be $100 richer by the end of it.

it's bone stock.... actually the only thing done to it, is the four twelves in the trunk, which should slow him up even more. i'll post our times as soon as we race tonight.
