Stock Alternator Amperage Rating

I gogled it, I searched the forum, and I've narrowed it down to 90amps to 125 amps.... does anyne know the OFFICIAL rating for stock Grand Prix alternators years 97 - 03




**ALSO** wheres the voltage regulators and how do I change it... I think i fried it earlier. (running at 12.8v at 2000rpm)

Re: Stock Alternator Amperage Rating

Stock IIRC is 105 amp's and the voltage regulator is internal,inside the alternator and looks something like this.You should be running about 14.0 volts @ idle

While I'm not sure I actually killed it, is it replaced separately or together with the alt?

You have to take the alternator apart and it is located inside the rear of the housing.
