Wink what should i get

I currently drive a 96 TSI AWD and I'm thinking of selling it. What should I get? I was thinking about a mustang but not a new 1 cuz those r ugly as f***! But I want something faster than what i've got. My talon has a cold air intake too so keep that in mind.

99-04 GT

If able, 99-2001, or 2003-2004 Cobra

As for the new 2005 GT....you either love it or hate it

Re: what should i get

however getting a foxbody mustang would be less expensive and they can be faster than crap... but you might not like the looks as much and its kinda old. any year mustang cobra would be a good buy tho.

The 2005 are ugly?

I just sold my Fox, and I will never buy one again.

Ok Cobra then. But are those faster than a TSI??? I'll put an intake in but...I think I raced one with an intake and I won.

2003/2004 Cobras run mid 12's at around 110-113. You didn't beat one of those with an intake and win, even with a crap driver.

99/01 Cobras run mid 13's at around 100-104. With a crap driver it's possible to beat one, but not with equal drivers. a 2G DSM with downpipe/catback/CAI/MBC will run with one.

On that note, how much are you selling the DSM for? Any signs of crankwalk? PM me.

Re: what should i get

Kid, you'll never afford an 03/04 cobra. And quit mentioning your intake and putting an intake on the cobra. It's not the only fucking performance mod in the world and it'll add maybe 5hp if you've lucky. And you 'think' you raced one with an intake? How would you know if it had an intake? And you think you won. Wow. You must not know very much. And just letting you know..I KNOW you didn't race one and win. Maybe you flew past one who didn't know you were racing..but yeah.

Hold up wait a minute,....... my wife owned a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T and the best I ever got that thing to do down the quarter mile at Sac raceway was a 14.9 @ 94.xxx mph. Oh and that was with both a intake, and full exhaust fart pipe.

Are you seriously going to tell me that your 3200~3300#lbs DSM with 210hp and 214ft-lbs of torque is going to beat a Cobra? What in the hell are you smoking and please give me some........

If ANYTHING, your a closer match to the 99+ V6 mustangs, they make 190~193hp and 220~225 ft-lbs of torque and weight the same. Your DSM has the advantage of better gearing and that is it!

2001 V6 Mustang...193hp and 225 Ft-lbs of Torque.
1999 Mustang GT...260hp and 302 Ft-lbs of torque.
1999 Cobra...........320hp and 317 Ft-lbs of torque.
2003 Mach 1.........305hp and 320 ft-lbs of torque.
2003 Cobra...........390hp and 390 Ft-lbs of torque.

So which one of these did you beat?

The build quality is total crap. I love the drive train, but hate the car itself.

I would buy a new 2005, but never a fox again, that is why I am building the Skyline with a 393 T76 and N2O.

Theres no real way a Talon could beat a GT mustang unless 1) driver didnt know u were racing or 2) Driver didnt have his foot to the floor.
I truly think you racing one is crap, but whatever. Im glad you are moving to a stang and not a honda, so welcome to Domestics! You will be happy with any fox body and up GT (hopefully) because all of them are quick enough to satisfy you. Im not dissing hondas, i just dont believe they are all whats cracked up to be. Cylinder sleeves dont make an engine...anyway. A gt is fine and a fox body is something you can afford. Dont get a 2.3L. It mite still b faster than your talon!

Re: what should i get

Just get a V6 and put an intake on it. I think if you do that you can run 10s.

Re: what should i get

jesus guys dont go to hard on him or anything... you probably raced a older v6 with cobra emblems because all cobras have around or over 300hp. so yes its faster than a Tsi, they are usually pretty pricey though

Re: what should i get

Plus if Talons are that bad, why don't you hear about them. I have heard or know of a lot of GTRs, Rx7s, Supras, etc that are bad ass, but not one Talon worth a shit. Don't get me wrong, they are nice cars, but they are not BAD!
