Raced an H22 prelude

A friend of mine said he knew someone who wanted to race me. So we met up today on the same universal road i raced him on a few weeks back. He has a 94 Prelude with an H22, and other mods that I don't know about (suspension and a few engine mods). He said he runs mid 14s. So we start with a roll from 40. He honked it down, and it was dead even to about 70, where i started pulling on him, but we had to cut it when I was ahead by half a length. We start from another roll, and he decided 30 was a good start (my 1st gear ends right around 33ish). I didn't argue, was just for fun anyway. He honks it down again, gets a good lead. He had me thruogh 2nd, by 3rd I was pulling on him, but we cut it at right about 80-90 again due to traffic (he had a length on me). Then we try it from a light, there was a sprinkler spraying there I think and we both got no traction so we decided to do it again. When we pulled up to the light his passenger said 'Winner of this takes it, thats it!'. My friend gave me a few words of encouragement before it went green. The light goes, I immediately launch, no squeek or ANYTHING. By 1st gear I had 3 lengths. 2nd gear, he was way back and by 3rd I was home free. My friend couldn't beleive how badly I beat him. The Prelude rolls up next to me and says 'Dude...that was the best launch Iv ever seen.'. I won't lie, I felt pretty good after that . He wants to race again next week, so I will see how that goes.

Cliffnotes:
I race an H22 Prelude
We split some rolling starts
I roast him off a light

Re: Raced an H22 prelude

notta bad kill at all.

the H22 is a much better motor to race from a roll than from a stop IMO. even w/ out the perfect launch, you'd have had him.

nice kill
