1996 Regal Custom keyless Issue

I have a 1996 Regal Custom that I bought used. It didn't come with a Keyless entry button (it didnt come with the door key either, but I had one made at the GM dealership) Anyhow, I recently got a transmitter that has the same part # as from the dealership, and am trying ot program it. Ive read every (that I could find by searching) posting on Keyless entry... I understand about jumping the 4th and 8th terminal with a fused jumper....

Im not sure what exactly the DLC looks like. There is a small 1/2in X 2in port thing right below my steering wheel a little to the right. I was hoping someone had an actual photo of it, to make sure thats it before i shove in a paperclip (ok, 2 wires with a fuse).

Also, could it be possible that my car didnt have the factory installed keyless entry? Any help woudl be appreciated!!!

Post Program

Open your trunk and on the right side pull back the carpet, by the antenna you will see a wire that is not hooked to anything, get a jumper wire and ground it. Then hit the lock button on the remote, it will then automatically lock, unlock, and pop the the trunk. Now your remote will be programmed (if it has keyless entry)
