MKIV: Turbo A 5 speed NA, or Get an Auto TT

So which would you rather do and why? You can get a good NA supra around here for 14k and the turbonetics kit here is 5k installed. bring the grand total to 19k. The Auto TT's that I have seen run around 22k. I know the TT's have various nick nacks that come in handy like TCS, supsension stuff, and bigger brakes, not to mention twin instead of single turbo. But the NA with the kit would cost 19k plus you would have 3k extra to play around with for any thing else. So I ask you, which would you rather have, assuming you have to pass smog and be street legal of course. Or would you put in a 6 Speed 2JZGTE into the NA. Assuming the swap is 10k then you would be at 24k for a 6speed TT swapped rather then a 29k for the one that came stock. Also, this could all be done over a length of time and the money wouldn't have to be there all at once. So what would you rather do honestly? Please I don't mean to start any arguments or annoy any one, I was sort of ondering because my friend has a 93 NA MKIV 5speed. Thanks for your time and any input.

The problem that you run into is the tranny mainly. It's not designed to take the boost, give me a price you want to spend on a MKIV TT supra and I'll find you one in the best shape that I can, I'll send you a PM of one right now.

Re: MKIV: Turbo A 5 speed NA, or Get an Auto TT

Um I was looking for soemthing below 24k if it is a twin turbo, preferably 6 speed, but most likely there isn't anything. And around 15k or less for a NA, but it has to be 5 speed. Thanks for the help.

Hey, don't get the Automatic, get the good ole 5-speed and later you can swap for a 6-speed but see if you can get a TT.
