94 camry trans or trade

Hi all,
Iam looking for a good auto trans for my 94 Camry.
If anyone knows of a trustworthy source (within a few hundred miles of Rochester Minnesota) for one I'd be most grateful.

It is a 94 XLE with a 3.0 V6, the trans is an automatic "with intelligence" & push button (on the stick) Overdrive, it also has a "power switch" on the console.

OR, I would be willing to trade the Camry for a solid road ready 4-cyl 4-speed stick Corolla of a comparable year to the camry...

Thanks

Re: 94 camry trans or trade

The key to transmissions is keeping the fluid clean.
I always prefer a used, unopened transmission to a "rebuilt" unit.
If there aren't enough salvage yards nearby, there are sources on the Internet that ship to you, but then would be harder to check fluid condition.

Thanks Daniel,
I'm going to see if changing the filter & fluid does anything & try a friends solution as well which is to add this stuff that kind of resembles Sea-Foam that may soften the what we think is glazed clutch plates (as a last resort)...

Again Thanks!
