I have a 1993 explorer. The trobule started yesterday it started fine all day until I tried it one time and it turned over strong one time and stopped. I cannot get it to turn over-just a loud click from the starter. I replaced the battery cleaned the cables, replaced the selonoid & the starter. Nothing helped. With all the new replacements it still just makes a loud click at the starter. I also checked the fly wheel and it was able to be turned with out much effort so the motor is not locked up. Any help will be great

I had the same problem w/ my '92. Have you looked at the positive cable from the battery to the starter. Mine coroded in the middle and had to be replaced. Not real hard to do if you tie a piece of wire to the end of one cable and the start of the new one. Just pull it through after cutting the straps and hook it up. Good luck.
