97 Lumina Brakejob/Windshield
How much does a brakejob for a 97 Lumina run for? I heard about $300, is that right? Also with my State Inspection comming up, I need to fix my Windshield. How much will that run for? Thanks in advance.

Re: 97 Lumina Brakejob/Windshield
Varies wildly with location and how much parts are going into it. Place I worked, we did front pads for $75, if the rotors needed turned it was $30 more. Rear shoes $85, same deal if drums needed turning, +$30 additional. Add a hardware kit and some shop charges, that'd get you around $300 if you did front and rear.

'96 Lumina Brakes don't wear out
I've got 132K on my odometer and still have very little wear on my rear brake linings. Brakes seem to work OK, but rears must be doing very little stopping if the linings are still thick. What gives? Are the automatic adjusters not working?
Also, I notice that the "Anti-Lock" light keeps coming on periodically when I drive down the road. By the way, I replaced the front pads and rotors last summer, so they should still be good. Anybody have any advice on these two problems? |
