manual swap questions

Ok my dad's gona give me his 93 elantra for free. now......i want to know if a manual swap is hard? can it be done in my garage? i have lots of experience working with cars, so that might help. But havent done transmissions before... What would I need? Has anyone done before? Give me some tips/insight.

It's going to end up costing you 5 times what the car is worth. If you want a manual, it would be cheaper to sell the '93, and go find one with a manual. Not only will you have to find the manual transmission, you have to find all the shift linkages, a new computer, new transmission mounts, shift lever, etc. . .Not worth it.
