good in city, sucks on highway!
hey people! i was wondering. i have a 96 se 3.1. It has lost some power over the past year but still is pretty quick! when im on the hghway my rpm's suddenly drop. i push my foot a little farther and nothing happens. when i let off the throtle the car bucks once. any ideas what this could be? any input is appreciated!

You may want to think about a professional fuel injector cleaning. I had some hesitation in my 96 GT 2.4L after replacing all the tune up and ignition parts I had an injector cleaning I now have regained the lost power of a high milage car.
You mey be gettin fuel starvation due to sluggish/clogged injectors. Just a thought. |

i put new plat plugs and wires about 5000 km ago. and it still acted the same. I wonder could i have a weak spark or something!

Frekey, another thing you might want to look at is the Cat. Converter. If it's running good at low rmp and then when you ask for more it don't want to go, it sure could be a plugged cat. If you've never changed it, it could be one of the problems! Good Luck!
