taillights

i have a 2003 trailblazer,just bought it. after having several people tell me i either had no tail lights or one missing i took it in get looked at. they pulled up vin and said recall was done and can not find out what the problem is. anyone else having same problem?

I'm about to find out if I have the same issue. Just got back from the local Jiffy Lube and the tech there pointed out that my tail light was out. To his credit, he didn't try to convince me to have them replace it because he was aware of the recall. I just bought the TB used a couple months ago, so I'm not sure if it has already had the recall work done or not. I'm going to call my dealer to see if they can pull it up by VIN. If it's already been done, I guess I'll just chalk it up to a regular burned out bulb.

I also have a lot of condensation in one of my tail lamps, so I wonder if that is related.

CHECK AGAIN IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY DID NOT DO THE RECALL. SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME THEY HAD TO CHANGE THE BOARD HAVE'NT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE.

Even though their computer may say they did the recall it doesn't mean they replaced anything. I believe the recall only calls for an inspection of the taillight assembly, and only rreplace if a problem exists.

YEAH THAT'S MY POINT I TOOK MY CAR IN AFTER THE BULB WENT THE SECOND TIME AND FORCED THEM TO GET IT DONE RIGHT AND THAT'S WHEN THEY CAME UP WITH THE RECALL.
