I have a 96 Jetta and she runs very well even though she was a rebuilt that created some problems. Make sure the car is in the condition they say it is and you got yourself a good deal in my opinion! I saw cars like that for a $1000 more too. I didn't convert to miles but a car that is 4 years old should have an average of 80 000km. Yours is like 8 so its the double maybe little more than that. Sounds about right.

Also It depends on the condition the car is. Just to compare prices, go to autotrader.ca (its a site to buy cars from) and choose a model thats closest to your car. There is a button under the car's picture that says compare ( I think). Then it gives you an idea of the lowest and highest these cars are going for. Also you could ask for the car history report from the internet to make sure your car is good, and take it somewhere to have it checked out.

Jetta and Golf is almost the same but the insurance is more on a 2 door Golf:S There are some differences but some people say a Golf is a Hatchback Jetta.

hope it helped a bit
