Replace solid rear seat with fold-down seat?

My 95 Tercel has a solid back seat. The only seats in good condition I can find in the junk yards are the 60/40 fold-down seats, which of course have a different frame in the back that they connect to. I'm replacing my dry-rotted, falling apart vinyl seats with cloth seats. Anyway, one of the guys I work with is convinced that we can cut out the piece of frame behind my solid seat and cut out the part of the frame from the car in the junkyard that has the fold down seats and weld that piece into my car so that I can have fold-down seats. Does this sound feasible or is there more to it than simply cutting those pieces out and replacing mine with the other one?

It's done!

It was easier than I thought it would be. The brackets in the other car were spot welded, so we just drilled through them to get them out. Since I don't have a spot welder to connect them to my car, I just drilled through the frame and bolted everything in. Now I have nice seats, front and back, that give the car a whole new look. The new spoiler is at the paint shop. I'll have it on Monday. Next I'll get the windows tinted. Is it just me, or does anyone else start fixing their cars up when they had no intentions of doing it before? Mine started with the new rims and tires and now I just want to keep going.
