Hood issues.. any suggestions
Ok.. alot of you know about my front end converson crap job..
when I got the car he changed the hood locking mech. and when I got the stock hood. there was no hood striker pin.. big shocker.. well I called around and no junkyard in the area has one. and so I thought well I guess I could get one from honda. so I called them and got them to order it. 21 dollors. (not bad) so I got them to order it.. went to get it today and they are on back order. and they dont know when they will even get one.. well I can just sit around will my thumb in my butt for a week, month, year ... who knows... for them to get one.. I thougt about making one,, but I dont have a diagram.. so im kinda stuck... if anyone has a suggestion please let me know.. thanks J |

what about hood pins? It's what they're made for.

I have some.. but Im afraid that when I go to drill for them im going to drill in to my lights... anysuggestions on where I could put them?

find someone on here whos parting out a car or find yet another junk yard. i cant believe none around you have a civic or rex. i dont dig hood pins.

AutoZone ORilleys and Advanced Auto cant even get order the damn thing |

to line up hood pins where you want them, just take a sharpie and stand it up where you want the hood pins to mount to under the hood and lower the hood down till it touches and now you know where to drill. and drill w/ your hood up or off so you don't hit anything w/ the dril bit when you go thru.
