Angry 93 PA Headlights

Got myself a 93 PA with what has to be some of the most useless low beam headlights that I have ever seen on a car. You can't see anything. Hell I drove 20 miles on a 2-3 lane hwy with my high beams on and NOBODY other than one trucker gave me the flash "hey your highbeams are on". What can I do about this and does ANYONE else seem to have this problem ? So here I am with crappy low beams and not so good highbeams as well.

Help me out here PA owners.

How does the power seem otherwise? Are the dome lights ok? Dash?

Could be a bad ground at the lights, wrong bulbs installed (could have bought it from a midnight drug dealer) or even the wrong aamprage on the alternator. If it is just the high beams I would look for a bad ground...

Re: 93 PA Headlights

I've installed Piaa 1500xt driving lights to accompany my lighting. Works awesome

Power seems to be ok other then when I apply the brake, I notice the low beams get a bit more dimmer. Dash, ok, interior lighting ok.

High beams are nothing to write home about either.

Did you install these on a 93 ? If so, where about did you mount them ?

That looks pretty decent. I was really helping that I could come up with a better headlight, I would like to keep as close to original as possible but this is a great alternative.

Re: 93 PA Headlights

It's a 94, same car though.

You could use 1" piece of square tubing to get the drop from the metal under the bumper. The previous owner had crappy walmart foglights on it and made some s-shaped brackets which I used.

Heres the Piaa switch in mine. Looks stock, and it fits clean on the dash. I put it where the traction control switch should be.

Re: 93 PA Headlights

I replaced the factory bulbs with PIAA ones. It's simple but the bulbs ran $50 per pair. Also check the aiming.
