h3 bulbs

has anyone changed their h3 bulbs to anything aftermarket? i want something closer to bright white to match the rest of my lights, but i want them to last longer than a few months like every bulb out there. anyone had any luck with any specific brands/wattage h3's? the only ones that i had last were the hella yellow stars, but i want to switch to an all superwhite look. any ideas?

How long with the bulbs normally last, lets say that the fogs are on everytime the lights are on. I want something that will last for more than just 2-3 months. bulbs are getting expensive if i gotta keep buying them every couple of months

aftermarket bulbs don't last very long at all...i've gone thru 5 or more sets of H3s...i think the H3s are especially prone to faliure..well, at least in my case that is...
i heard that even PIAAs are burning out quick these days...

well i guess there's no hope for us h3 users then huh? i'm definately not going to spend $50-75 on Piaa's if they're just gonna blow out like the rest of them. I do like the Nokya's for color, and the price isn't too bad, at least comparable to the other bulbs on the market. well, thanks for the input guys. if anyone else has any ideas, please post em! thanks

I've had my PIAA's for almost 2 years now. No problems.

Here is my thinking, save up the money and convert both headlights and fog lights to true HID. That is my plan at least.

No...that's why they have Xenon gas to cool them off. Without the Xenon it would melt everything in sight. The only thing people worry about is the harness melting. That's why you buy the ballast and the new hardness and wiring.
