00 gc door locks
Has anyone else had problems with their door locks making loud noise then stop working? Some times they wont unlock. Spoke to Jeep and brushed me off. Dealership wants $220 per door. When I asked if it was common, the dealer says they get them all the time. Seems like a saftey concern to me. Need to know if anyone else has the same problem before next step.Thanks Dan

Pull the upholstery panels off the door and have a look at the linkage. They sometimes use a plastic clip/bushing at the pivot points to hold the rod in place and it breaks out after a while.
There is an upholstery tool available to loosen the plastic clips at the bottom of the door. Less than $10 cost. JD
