suspension problems

i have an 87 crx wit the integra swap i want my suspension stiff like a bmw m3. but im not sure if i should use the torsion bars i have or do i try to turn the front suspension into a second gen setup wit coil overs and put a stiff setup there. but also keep in mind that ill also have a beefed up motor to so it also has to be a street setup.

Re: suspension problems

Get stiffer T-bars and progressive rear springs!
...and some Tokico Illuminas wouldn't hurt.

Which motor are you running?

Re: suspension problems

Then you will definitely need stiffer T-bars.

You can also get adjustable rear coil overs from Ground Control, or just replace the rear springs and front struts with wood blocks.

You can use the rears from a 2G CRX but you will need an adapter. The 1G CRX rears are larger in diameter than a 2G so they will not sit correctly. OPM sells an adapter kit, or you could make one yourself if you know how to weld. The adapter is basically a cylinder welded to a larger disc with a hole in the middle for the shock absorber to pass through. The larger disc is the same diameter as the 1G CRX spring and the smaller cylinder is the same size as the inside diameter of the 2G CRX spring. This adapter sits on top of the spring in order to keep the smaller spring centered in the spring tower. But it would be much easier to just chop up some old logs throw those in there instead.
