95 Ranger tranny whining in all but 4th gear
I have a 95 Ranger 4x4 4.0 5spd w/210,000 miles. The tranny is whining in all but 4th gear. I was told I had a 2ndary shaft bearing problem. I took the tranny apart and dont see very much wear at all. Any ideas what's causing the noise?
Any ideas on where to get overhaul kits for this tranny(since its apart!)? Thanks for yuor time. Zane |

Re: 95 Ranger tranny whining in all but 4th gear
ok no replies yet but any info would be appreciated.I am gettting a rebuild kit. It covers seals synchro, and bearings EXCEPT for the needle bearings. Has anyone had problems w/ the needle bearings to justify me replacing them also?
