Unhappy 4X4 electronic shift

One question??? What would happen if you turn the electronic 4x4 shifter knob over to "4x4 low" while cruising down the highway at 100kms/hr or better. The reason I ask this is because it sits just over the rear window wiper knob. Wouldn't want to turn the wrong knob...

Technically it should do nothing. I believe that it has a safety on it that requires the vehicle to be in Park or Neutral to engage.

BlulytesTB is right, it has a safety switch that locks it in gear so you can't shift at that speed into anything but A4WD, not even 4WD high. I think the speed limit for 4WD high is around 55mph, and I know you have to be in Neutral and be stopped to engage 4WD Low. Hope this helps, Erik
