Re: any advice
A cracked piston would usually cause a severe loss of power, not sure about shaking.

Re: any advice
check for water in the fuel lines, check ignition coil pack. What octain gas do you run, could be bad gas. sounds crazy but i had same problem with my 99 purged fuel system and changed gas station and it never happened again

Re: any advice
need more details, you need to isolate the shaking.
1. when does it happen ( driving? parked? at what speed? idle? full throttle?, in a turn? etc.. ) 2. where does it happen ( the entire car? the front? the back? just the engine? etc... ) 3. when did it start ( after you hit a bump, hole? etc.. ) most commonly, a front shake ( violent ) during high idle or driving can be motor mounts, but internal motor damage can cause this to, but you will have a decrease in functionality or even complete lose of functionality. a shimmy ( liquid type shake ) can be caused by something major/minor internal to the engine, fuel, oil, misfiring, plugs, a/c, etc. if its something that doesnt show itself off hand, take it to a trusted greasemonkey. |
