The engine is a horse and should give many troublefree miles . The 4 speed auto must be taken care of and the tranny fluid (ATF 4 only) and filter should be replaced every 30-35000 miles to be safe . Have a 2004 with the same engine and it will get 26-27 mpg at 70-75 mph . Nice cruising van , could use a little more power when traveling thru steep mountain passes but that's about it . 20000 miles and so far hasn't been back for anything but general maintenance . I would say the only thing that bothers me is the way they have decontented the vans since 96 , even compared to our base Voyager that we bought in 96 . Here's a few things they no longer have , underhood light , glovebox light , unlighted headlight, power mirror switches , 1 dome light instead of 2 , 1 rear hatch light instead of 2 . Unlighted power lock and window switches , though the 92's might have had those . Unlighted ignition switch , I think they did this one because they have the interior lights stay on for a few seconds after you close the doors and they figure you don't need that . Overall though it's a good van with pretty comfortable seats and a good ride .

Reliable and SAFE. Chrysler isn't the most reliable van available. If reliability and safety is your main concern, you wouldnt pick the Chrysler. I'd check the consumer ratings and find the most reliable van for your family.
