well if you know another car that ur interested in buying then take it to a dealer and try and see what the trade in value will be. if thats not good enough for you, then try to sell it your self. if several months pass and you get no offers then either lower the price ( just not any lower than the dealer would offer you) or just keep it. but if your really interested in keeping a maxima...i suggest trading it in for a slighty newer maxima..id say a 99 with lower miles...

but this is just my suggestions

i traded in my 95 for my 2k2. i took a beating on the trade in though, if you can find someone to buy it privately, go that route. 95 maxima's are obd-1(which will mean something to someone looking to modify/tune it) and if it's also 5 speed you could possibly get a good deal more than what trade in value is.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a car with nearly a 1/4 million miles. That's a lot of miles. You're starting to get towards the end of the life for the motor. I'd just hang onto and keep driving it, I can't imagine you'd get a whole lot for it.

well of coarse you wont get a whole lot for the car, but its more money your going to get for the car while its working then when it dies. and you'll have to get a new car ne ways, and then you'll have no extra cash

All 4th gen maxima's (1995-1999) are ODB-II 1995-1996 maximas are less restricted and faster than 1997-1999. Just wanted to clarify that.

Re: NEED ADVICE!! should i sell or KEEP?? 1995 Nissan MAXIMA

Maxima's are extremely well built. It's always cheaper to keep driving the car you have than to buy a new one. I know someone who has a '95 with 295,000 miles on it, still original, going strong. My advice is to keep driving it, but put a little money aside and save up for you new car's down payment in the meantime.

Keep it. 3.5 swap. Thats what I'd do, but I'm totally in love with my car.
