Look at what I did this week! (1 picture)

I've been downsized in posting strength this past week for one simple reason, I've done the biggest automotive project ever attempted by me.

First i removed the doors to my 94 Park Avenue. I got out the cutting wheel and I removed the roof. Next was to move the b-pillar back towards the rear wheels. I welded support beams in place and covered the gap from the relocated b-pillar to the existing fender. I then covered that with fresh sheetmetal.

I stretched the front doors by using the sheetmetal from the old rear doors. I then ordered some new glass from glassworks in Hickory. I also ordered the mechanism and convertable top also.

While waiting for the parts to arrive, I recovered my tan leather with a beautiful white leather to match the new convertable top. I stent friday and saturday installing the new top, and it is a beautiful car, just look at it now!

hmmm,

think you need to "shave" a little more off the right side b-pillar, some of it is still visable through windshield.

interesting conceptual idea though, would look nice in reality.
