Re: Is this possible?

Northstar is great, but not many aftermarket parts... A built 400 small block in a 97ish Eldo converted to RWD would be sweet!

Re: Is this possible?

The real problem is that most sovereign states do not allow swapping and older year model engine into a newer year model car. IE., you could not put a 92 pushrod engine in place of a 97 Northstar or a 78 Vette engine in place of an 80 for that matter. You can only go the other way and replace and older engine with a newer. And it must pass smog for the year engine it is. So if you put a 99 Northstar in place of an 89 it has to pass 99 smog standards. If that means extra stuff like a 99 computer and such you gotta do it. I don't think one can swap a 95 Cad engine for a 95 Chevy engine even and be legal in most states. Ah, at least 3 of my cars don't have to pass smog check crapola!
