Mike:
I've got the same problem except that mine is the other way around. My feet cook while I freeze on top. Wierd. I brought it in under warranty. The dealer initially told me there was a door that was reconnected. I drove 1km down the road and turned around.....not fixed! They checked with GM Eng. and came back to me with the answer that this is how the system was designed. Huh?????? Anyway, they made some adjustments to the flaps and doors in the system but they seem to have made things worse. Grrrrrrrr. I contacted GM directly and have been informed that this is how the vehicle is designed and they will pass it on to GM Engineering to look at whether it merits a TSB. My experience is that TSB's come out primarily for safety and driveability problems - not customer comfort! Does anyone know of a link where I might be able to read the TSB for the adjustment? Does anyone have any service notes or diagrams for the HVAC system? |

Re: Pontiac Montana Heater Problems
Try this guys
1.Ensure air selector is at fresh air intake NOT recirculate small light should be on. 2.Select temperature knob to hot 3.Select air director to feet. 4.Turn fan speed to 2 Try that and see if it works. BTW these vehicles are renown for having poor heating. If you are in cold climate it can be trying sometimes. I don't know what GM engineers did in Kapuskasing cold weather test center because it sure takes long time for these things to heat up. |
