93 Dodge Shadow Not Starting Again!

Thank you to yogi_123rd for replying to my post a couple days ago. I took the car to the mechanic and shared the information I had with them. He "cleaned" the EGR Valve. From the repair slip we received, if I am reading it correctly, it looks like he repaired the wire for the injector and IAC motor was shorted????

Anyway, the car ran for me yesterday. Then we got out there this morning at a lovely 5am (take my husband to work) and the car turned over once, cut out, and now won't start again.

This time I got a code 12, and the end code 55. No other codes? Do you think it would help if we just replaced the EGR valve, the vacuum hose, maybe the O2 sensor, and should we maybe replace the MAP sensor?

We just keep funneling money into this car and the same problem just keeps reoccuring. Incidently, we had no problem with this car doing this from the time we bought it in September 2004 until December 2004, right after we had a tune up done our problems began.

We need this car to last until the Fall if possible, then we can possibly afford a new car. I would also like to keep this car around for the kids to drive once they get their license. I really do like the car a lot, I am just frustrated.

nice blue spark coming from the coil?

check all the basic stuff.... plugs, air filter.. oil, fuel filter (when was the last time she was rpelaced?) battery, alt... etc.

oh and if there was a vaccum leak she would still start wouldnt it? if it does start spray some carb cleaner or something over the suspected lines and if it changes idle or craps out thats where ur problem is.
