96 dodge caravan

i put a universal belt on our van.and it just keeps sqeeking.i sprayed it time after time.it stops for awhile then starts again.can anyone tell me whats wrong.

make sure your belt is not oil glazed, i.e. leaking power steering fluid, engine oil, antifreeze, etc. Any type of fluid on a drivebelt can and will cause a squeeling sound.

it might be a bit different in size and putting strain on one of the pulleys. Or you might have a bad pulley somewhere.
