98 Ranger XLT Super Cab Step Side tires

I was going to buy some new tires for my Ranger, and wanted to go bigger. How big, REALISTICALLY, can I go?! Right now I have 235/65-16. I was thinking 245/75-16. I want the truck to sit a little higher, I'm not so worried about the width of the tires other than fenderwell rubbing.

here is a size chart to compare sizes. you need to turn wheel all the way to see how much clearance you have.http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...d_trail_ta.pdf

if you have stock gears I would reccomend a 31/10.5/16 tire . You go much bigger and yout MPG go to crap unless you have a 4.0 manual.. get away with a 32.. than your talkin lift kit.. could you please look at my thread about 99 p0455?? thanx
