How much (approximate of course) would this cost?
How much would it cost to tow my car to the honda dealer and have the timing belt put back on to insure proper timing? I ask this because I'm finishing some headwork, and it would just destroy me to start the car and bend some valves, so I wanna make sure the timing is just right. The belt or water pump doesn't need to be replaced or anything, I've recently had this done. I'll probably just end up calling Honda, but they're closed and I'm busy during the day, so being impatient, I was wondering if anyone had any idea. Thanks for any help. And you don't have to give me a towing quote, that's a lot simpler to figure out.

i called two dealerships when i was getting quotes. 700 and 900 were the two quotes. That was with the waterpump though. Stay away from the dealer just go to a mechanic that specializes in hondas.

I'd say save your money until you install your valvetrain and adjustable cam gears (as in your sig). Then get it dynotuned.

That's why I'm asking this, I am finishing what my sig says, valve springs, retainers, cams, cam gears, and now after it's put back together I want to make sure the timing is right. This isn't a separate project. Thanks for the input though.

Oh I get it...You have to line up the timing marks on your cam gears with TDC (there's probably a thread here somewhere on the details of how to do it, or it should be included in the installation instructions). That should be good enough to keep your valves from smashing into your pistons. THEN get it dynotuned. Sorry I can't provide more info on lining up your timing marks, but I haven't done this yet...

Re: How much (approximate of course) would this cost?
Well I have a Helm's manual, so that helps a lot, it's just that I don't completely trust myself, because if the timing's off, all of this work is completely ruined and would cost a lot more money. Also, I heard it's hard to get the belt back around the gears. I think I'm gonna wait and try to get Uberdata before I dyno tune it too, I'd like to get it all done at once.
