Love my 2005 Dodge GC

I have had it since Dec. and so far I haven't had it back to the dealer for anything. Everything works the way it should.

I didn't think I'd ever be without a truck, but when helping my brother move a friend, he had a Dodge mini van, I had a Dodge Dakota. I noticed he was getting more stuff in his van than I could get in my truck. Mostly because he could pile it higher. I began to rethink about having a truck. Still, I didn't like the idea of having to take out the seats in his van. They were heavy and a pain in the butt to take out and put back in. One day I was at the dealer having the truck 's oil changed and decided to look around while waiting.

I looked at the new Dakotas, they were nice. The new C.C. now had a back door to get in and out, which I liked. But the back seats were still small and low. Inside room was still limited.

I then went and looked at the mini vans. The third one I saw had the seats stowed and I loved all that room inside. The salesmen then showed me one with the seats up and all the storage room you had to put stuff in with those bins. I really liked that. One thing I really didn't like about a truck, is everything you had that was bigger than a woman's purse, had to lay on the floor or on the seats. Not with this baby. Then he showed me how easy it was to fold the second and third row seats into the floor. No carrying them out anymore. Now I was getting hungry for this van.

But my truck was only three and a half years old. I didn't have it broken in yet. I told the salesmen I liked the van, but I thought I'd wait a couple of more years and get one.

Then the salesman hits me with three thousand off the sticker price and 0% financing. He found my weak spot. I took it.

I love this van as much today, as the day I bought it. Nothing sits out in my van, I keep one middle seat up and one down. I stuff the bin that would be used by the one seat that is up and it holds a lot. With the one seat down, the grand kids can almost run in and get seated, it's so easy to get in and out.

The van is really quiet too. Much more than my brother's 2001 Dodge van. It's got great A/C, much better than my Dakota. Three way A/C and a very nice Am/Fm radio, with six speakers and not only a CD, but also a cassette. An eight way power driver's seat that fits like a glove.

Now I still haven't gotten over 19.98 mpg on this 3.8 mini van. Although I haven't been able to drive all freeway on a tank of gas yet either. I have got it to be about 80% freeway driving and am hoping I can make it all freeway and see how much mpg I can get this van up to. Still I can't complain. My Dakota was only a six and weighed less than this van, and I was only averaging 15 1/2-18mpg on it.

Anyway, I thought I would share this with you. I love this van and not sorry one bit I got rid of my truck.

Glad you like it . For the money you can get a lot of car with a mini . I have seen the short wheelbase versions with a 3.3 V6 auto and power windows , locks , speed control, air , and even a DVD player for less than $17000 US . Hard to beat that kind of value . Great to travel in and will get 26-27 mpg at 70-75 mph . So far no problems on ours at 20000 miles .
