since you are already planning a system. Build a wall/box that fires into the cabin.

well i thought about that but the mdf board used to build speaker boxes is pretty heavy and after building tthat it would probably weigh as much as my seat did if not more, but maybe i can just build somthing out of a thinner lighter board just to frame it all off and put a plexiglass window in there or somthing

Re: taking out my backseat what to put there

the nicest setup ive seen is getting the rear re-carpeted. it looks really nice, as if the car came with no back seat. its not that expensive and will look alot better than exposed metal.

Got pics? I'd like to see that because I've bin thinking about the same thing but was just going to settle for the polished metal look...

Fiberglass won't save you any weight over MDF. True, the actual fiber is lighter, and the finished product is lighter when it's compression molded by machines, but when people do fiberglass work, they tend to use way too much resin which is heavy as fuck. And using carbon fiber to do any glass work is just retarded cost-wise. And yeah, the seat is light as fuck but if you really wanted to lose it, I'd just make a basic lightweight amp rack back there. Since you already have an amp in it anyway, it's not like you're adding a bunch of extra weight.
