manual doors to power doors
I need some new doors for me 93 teg, but it has manual doors, and all i can find is power doors. I've heard all the wiring would be easy to do, but i wanna if it really is. Since sometimes my sources arn't that reliable.

dunno, but normally wiring is more of a bitch then it sounds, doubly so if you've never done it before.
can you just switch the guts on the doors, so you've got a new frame/skin with the old windows and locks? I know on the civics at least the controls are in the center console, which means you would need switches, wiring, harnessing, and to feed the extra wiring through the body holes for the existing wiring. seems kind of a pain for something that doesn't really need power windows/locks all that much. keyless entry would be sweet, though.

Re: manual doors to power doors
Alright, here's the deal. If you're wanting to just swap the doors, it's do-able, not very easy like though. If you know enough about wiring like me, then it's easy just a little time consuming and a little custom work, but for the average person, I wouldn't attempt it. But just so you know, it's not plug-and-play. On the cars that came with power windows and locks, all of those functions go through the BCM, which is different. So technically, you can't just integrate the power doors with a car that has manual doors without having to get jiggy with it (creative). Now as far as the locks go, that's easy as hell if you know what you're doing. The windows...eh that takes some inginuity. Did I spell that right? Oh well. But yeah, it's kind of a hassle overall. I would recommend just getting some aftermarket actuators (door lock motors) put on your manual doors. It wouldn't technically give you power locks because you wouldn't have a button or switch lock and unlock them, but if you have an alarm then it would give you keyless entry, which is beyond sweet...it's a necessary convenience. And actuators are cheap, like $20 each. If you know what you're doing, they're not that hard to put on either. Most installers hate doing them, but they don't bother me at all. But then again, my specialty is security, most people's is audio.
