Front License plate on a 98
My sister just got a 98 Accord, and there are no holes to put the front license plate in. I assumed that you have to drill holes for them, but my dad wanted me to make sure...What has everyone done for their front plates?

I drilled mine, you can drill for a lisence plate holder too.
its been 7 years without a plate and it looks better without a plate, if you want you can place it in the front passenger side of the windshield (depending on state laws, you might not even need a front one)...

Re: Front License plate on a 98

Re: Front License plate on a 98
actually...honda sells a lp holder that has a bracket that mounts to the underside of the 'mouth' of the bumper. that way u don't have to put holes in the bumper...however...if she doesn't care...then that saves you some money.

yeaah dude the undermounts i had got mauled and basically i could not put the bracket for the lisense plate back on soo i took steel wire n wrapped it around parts of the lower grill n through the holes. Personally i think it looks better than on the bumper and haaa it was free!
dunno if that will work on the 98 but if ya got some steel wire, id give it a shot. oh yeah n the thought of drilling holes into the bumper made me start crying....

yeah all hondas from92 and up i think had a license plate holder, which grabs on to the bottom of the front bumper.it might not be there if the car came from a state that didnt use a front plate, like pa, or if the bumper was changed.you can find it in the dealer. or try ebay.
