Re: buying a 96 gt probe!

I think that is a lot to spend. Just to give you an idea. I sold my mint cherry red 96 GT power roof, power options, CD player. Aslo had a new clutch, head gasket, brakes , rotors, calipers, altinator, batt. and belts for $1,800 I know, I gave it away. It only had 123,000 miles on it but I just didnt need it any more. I wouldnt jump into that right away. Take your time, and the right one will fall into place.

I thought canada used the mile too? jeeeeze luweeeeeeezeee its gotta be confusing if you go back and forth between the u.s. and canada if they use kilometers... i mean... nothing like saying "this car has 52,194 miles and 31,102 kilometers on the engine..." wtf? lol....

No man everything is in K's up here, Nothing is miles. and our gauges and our speed limits are in km/h not miles

but for this guy the car prob had a engine swap done. So his engine has only gone 150k's but the rest of the car has 260k

The mounties don't have a sense of humor about the km/mph difference either. Back in about 1988, when we lived in Montana my mom and I went to Edmonton and mom forgot to make the switch. Got nailed for doing 100mph in a 100 km/h zone in a 83 T-Bird. I still pick on her to this day. Back to the issue, even at exchange rates, $3300C still seems a little high. I'd do a little shopping around, find more bang for the buck.

Re: buying a 96 gt probe!

For some reason up here the price for cars is really high, prob b/c it cost more to keep it going. The cheapest saftied car is around 2500. That's for the cheapest, that usually has rust and doesn't run well. a good all around car is around 5k.
