My 94EX makes a rattle nosie when Im in 1st 2ed and 3ed. I took it to Aamco and they said it was in the transmission. They want to charge 400 to to take it apart and tell me what it is. I think they just want to take my money can someone help me out and let me know what i can. It dosnt stall or anything it just makes a rattle noise is it even worth looking at or should I just let it be.

Re: noise in 1,2,3 gears
My integra does the same thing, but it is between 3500 and 4200 rpm. i had my dad rev up the engine with me looking under the teg. turns out, my heat shield around my cat was vibrating, bad. my car is lowered and too low for me to get my shoulder under. its annoying to say the least.

Re: noise in 1,2,3 gears
I'd say its your throw out bearing. You can try sitting at idel and depress the clutch and see if it makes that noise, then let off and see if it stops.
