Panasonic TV/DVD in 02 325. will it work??

Has anyone or does anyone know someone who has installed a tv/dvd indash unit in their car??
I just bought a panasonic 9300 and the stereo shop says it may not turn on my factory amp, therefore i will have to get all new speakers...has anyone ever heard of this...or is my guy just an idiot...i do trust him, he did all the work in my navigator and saleen and at a fair price... This is the third TV like this i have bought and never had a problem with the mach system in the mustang, however on the navigator i was not able to use my factory amp and sub, it would not turn on with the tv as the headunit..

The guy says the only way he will know is to install the TV and see what happens..

if anyone has any info on this please let me know

Well, it should always be able to turn on the amps and such. To be on the safe side he might want to use a relay to isolate things. The problem would be to run your new stereo through the old amps. You can run into a problem with the ohm ratings and such. If possible, use RCA's instead of speaker outputs from the new radio.

In the E46 . . . the amps may be coded like the radio . . . so it may not work . . anti theft
