PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I have a 1992 buick century with a 3.3 6 cylinder engin. I was driving along and it just quit. I tested it with a fast tracker and the code came up HC-26 , which is the brain. I replace the brain but it still will not start. It turns over but there is no fire getting to the plugs. What could be the problem. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks Tom |

Did you have the ecm tested? AutoZone will do it for free. If thats what you mean by brain then have the new one tested as well. I have bought a few eletronic parts that were defective right out of the box.

Re: 1992 buick century 3.3, won't start
Dammit, try the battery for cryin out loud. The ecm isnt always whats wrong with it. Check your o2 sensor too. That has the effect of what an ecm would do if it was f-ed up. God, some people.

Dude! I don't know if your pissed at him or me and I don't really care. He said It turns over, there for there is power. No it's not always the ecm but he said any advice would be helpful. I always point to things that have been my problems in the past or things I have read from other post. This was posted over a month ago so I would suspect he has it right already but I'm sure he's really glad you here now screaming at those who helped him promply. I sure hope you have a better day tomorrow.

I have never had a car "quit" because the battery goes out.
