HID Question:

I'm getting HID's put in my car tomorrow.
They are the Phillips ones.
I'm getting the bulbs and the ballast.

Is it going to mess up my headlights because the lamp is plastic or should I be ok???

Should be ok.. Seems to me like they use less power therefor should produce less heat. It says on their site I believe that it should not melt your headlight casing.

I'm assuming that you have a G20. So, I hope you know that if you get HID, you won't have high beams at all. G20 (P11) uses H4 (9003). These are dual filament bulbs with high and low in one. I would suggest doing wut I'm gonna do. Get the euro or japan headlights. these have two separate high and low beams, you know , like the BMW's or Lexus. If I'm completely wrong, or you don't care about having high beams, please disregard this reply. I'm gonna stop now before I make an ass out of myself if i already haven't yet. Good luck with your mods. peaceout.

Well I never use my high beams anyways sooo I probably won't be using them when I do get the HIDs put in...I do appreciate your suggestion though.

Well I go the HIDs put in yesterday.

They make such a big difference I can never go back to regular bulbs. Freakin awesome and you guys were right they use less power so the headlamp casing doesn't even get hot after I use them. Thanx for your advice...Now I just need to find clearnace lights and fog lights that will match.

Any advice on that??? I have Polarg hyper whites in them now.

I doubt you can find any bulb that will match the color of the HID, i still have to OEM clearance but i dont really see my clearance unless i am standing close to the car....but i think the piaa super plasma is pretty good
