1994 C4 runs too hot

Anyone have the best way to solve the hot running engine, I have heard a few different ways talked about on this forum in the past. But does anyone know if it is possible to reprogram the eprom to lower the temp number to turn the fans on earlier???????? This is my question?
I have heard these other suggested remedies below but why if you can reprogram?

1. lower the thermostat to 165, add some water wetter

2. Install a aftermarket cooling sensor with a lower temp switch to turn
the fans on sooner

3. wire the fans together so they both come on at once, even if the AC
is off

4. CAN THE EPROM be reprogrammed to lower the temps for electric
cooling fans to come on, and if so who does it and how can I do it
or is it dealer only? Thanks for any good info

yes you can change the fan temp switch setting, that is if you have the 160 cooling fan switch, hypertech chip, the tuner, and the 160 t-stat.

as for getting it installed, any speed shop that handles custom chip burning, computer tunning, not sure of the price, but its doable.
