Help s10 seems to have a hesitation

Hello everybody, I have recently purchased a 1994 s10 4x4 4.3l tbi and the motor has plenty of power but when it is cold it has a hesitation and it almost goes away when it is hot. The guy I bought it from has tune it up and put on new injectors. The motor smell like it is running a little rich. Then engine light has not been on and the engine does not misfire. Any suggestions would be helpful. Could this be a EGR without the engine like coming on? Thanks Mark

Re: Help s10 seems to have a hesitation

i would definitely clean the egr and replace pcv. i had a similar problem recently in a 2.2L (no ses), and this worked for me. more get-up, mpg, and no more hesitation. though a week after, my cat took a crap. i don't know if this is related, still no ses but sounds like the guts are just flying around in there.

The cat is about 6 month old along with the rest of the exhaust. I did play with the egr last night and it did help it. This weekend I will take it off and clean. Thanks Mark
