1998 gsxr-750 fuel pump

hello all, weel my problem is my gixxer had the fuel pump go out on it so i bought a new one for 525 dollars that sucked and put it in. the bike started right up took it for a test drive ran great, rode it 2 more times in about a week probably 10 miles total, tried to start it a week later and nothing the pump was bad again. is my bike killing these pumps? was there ever a recall on gixxer pumps, i noticed under the seat it says gsxr99 fuel pump recall performed just written with a sharpie under the seat? i bought the bike brand new out of the crate in march of 98 i have taken very good care of it all oil changes filters, full pipe, new tires ,the works i have another pump for it but i dont want to put it in if the bike is going to ruin it this is getting exspensive. thanks

I would check the old pump with a battery to make sure its bad. if so make sure your not running low fuel level for long periods of time thats the only way it cools its self. the pumps run real quiet so make sure the relay isnt sticking on and burning them up.

I think you should be a little more constructive with your post's in the future. Your post is coming off very offensive.
