Need HLamp Motor 84 Vette

Im looking for a Passanger Side Headlamp Door Motor (New or Rebuilt) for my 84 / (I have a core - if needed) any help appreciated...

Try www.ecklers.com. Good luck!!! I need the same one actually, but I just left both of the headlight in the open position for now, it doesnt looks that bad, but Im planning on fixing it soon. You might just need the gears instead of the motor. Adios.

I rebuilt it once before -- worked great for 2 months - I think I 'nicked' the shaft - so I want a 'Fresh' Rebuild -- I know replacing the gears will work for a while -- Taber Corvette Parts will swap me with Core for $150 + Shipping

If they have a good warranty period, it sounds like a good deal to me. Now, was it too hard to replace the gears? Is it easier and faster just to replace the motor? Because like i said earlier, I have the same problem too and I want to get it fix. Thanks.

Its not that hard to replace the gears (and its way cheaper -- and usually fixes your problems) but when I did mine -- I hacked the shaft (I didnt put the shaft into a Vise and scored the set pin and shaft - and figured if the gears go again - I'll have to start with a new shaft - Thus a new Core where the shaft isnt hacked) which is what I need now

i have set motors that came out of a 85 model,they wont work in my 86

Does any one know if the 85 HLamp Motor will fit an 84? How much do you need for it Studgunn ?
