Tires.............

Gonna get some new front tires since the inside tread is wearing more than the outter edge. I have 225/60 - 16s. Thinking about going a little wider but keeping the same tire height to match the rear. what do you recommend? I dont plan to buy an expensive tire but maybe along the lines of Goodyear american eagles, Eagle LS, BF goodrich Touring TA or even the bridgestone's Potenza G009. Do i need a front end alignment after new tires?

The only size that will keep the same tire height is the 225/60-16.If you go wider in the front,I would think that the car might not track very well.

It sounds as if you are ready for an alignment,if you are wearing the inside of the tire more then the rest.

www.tirerack.com or www.tire.com has some great prices on tire's,if your looking to save some money.

I usually dont let anyone work on my car except when its something i just cant do (struts, tires...). But oil changes, brakes, rotations, stuff like that then i do it.

heard too many horror stories at walmart automotive about those kids forgetting to refill with oil, not tightening the drain plug enough or stripping it.

Re: Tires.............

you go to walmart to get cd's and stuff. not for them to work on your car. a little wider wont hurt anything. and if your insides are wearing funny. then have the front end aligned. and while it is on the rack. have them look at the ball joints and stuts to make sure they are still good.
