My At. Sebring Projects

I have been waiting for this day. just sitting down to watch the race and work on some models. I have been laid up this week with some minor knee surgery so I figured I would finally be able to watch the whole race with no distractions and be able to work on some modelling projects, some that have been around for quite awhile.
Let me know what you think, and I appreciate any tips. These aren't for the Lemans contest since I am a sponsor. These wouldn't hold anyway to some of the projects I have seen on this forum.
Kevin

This is the Quik Skins GTP Corvette. What a kit. goes together like a dream with great detail and engineering, great parts fitment. just blows away a Studio 27 kit, at 2/3rds the price. The wheels are a set of four Speedline 962 aluminum front wheels. They fit great with just a little bit of work.

This is a Fujimi F40LM kit with some old Scale Designs decals. I have been wanting to build this for awhile. I set it aside until the new scale productions decals came out. The Scale Designs decals you see have too much silvering on them. I did the C/F on the tub today.

This is the new Renaissance JMB Ferrari 360 Modena. There is just
something about the black and white paint job. I did the decal work on it today. In the back ground is the Nissan R390 with the blue square paint job
with the red wing. This is another Renaissance kit. I didn't have it in
me to start the decals today.

This is the Perry's resin Ferrari 333SP. Full carbon fiber tub, with Tamiya Porsche 962 brakes. I have made air jacks that are extended so the car will sit up in the air with the wheels off so it looks like it is being worked. on.
Well back to work.Who know when I will get this much free time again.

That looks like a nice selection. I especially like the 333SP and I would like the F40LM too if it weren't the Fujimi one.

Welcome to AF, Kevin. Nice projects you have there. I'm sure we'd all like to see more pics.

Re: My At. Sebring Projects

Great work Kevin, thanks for sharing.
Is the 333SP 1/24th?
Would love to have seen some coverage of Sebring here, even if just for the Aston DBR9!

Nice work and, on a more personal tone, nice subject choice.

If I may ask a question OT, when is your 936 going to be ready? I canŽt wait to do a black one.

Thanks.

Thank you. IŽll be waiting. One question on this: the pics on your site seem to show 5 spoke wheels, as used during the season. Didn't the black car - presentation and Nurburgring - run with BBS's?

936

There is also a picture of it running on the five spoke wheels. There is also a picture of the white carin the low wing configuration. You can basically build the car any way you want and be correct.
