McLaren in Washington state

Wasn't there a discussion here a while ago, with someone claiming to have seen one in Washington state?

I have just heard from someone else who says they saw one there too. Awaiting further details--I will post them here. But I will tell you that if this guy says it was a McLaren, it definitely was. He's not the type to confuse it with an Elise or Ultima or some other car with round lights in the back. He doesn't know as much as you guys, but he knows what a McLaren would look like.

That rumor has definitely been kicked around before. Some have suspected that the car belongs to Bill Gates seeing as how he could own every single McLaren F1 if he chose too, but I certainly don't believe that rumor. I'd be more inclined to believe the car was Paul Allen's, but it's probably neither of them. There's plenty of other wealthy people in that state who could afford the car if they wanted to.

Any idea what color it was? Please don't say silver...

Silver, unfortunately. Leading me to think it might have been Seth Neiman's car...although that car had no wing, and I seem to remember the sighting was of a car with a rear wing. Hmmm.

I have a couple of phone calls in. Will report back.

Seth's car went to Gary Schaevitz in New York. Wasn't really what I would call "silver" either.

Seth's car is dark silver and is thousands of miles away on my side of the US

Btw, i think East coast trumps west for amount of McLarens

Yes, I know. I am saying it might have been there before it was shipped off.

Anyways, now I have someone knowledgeable saying it was at a certain place in Washington State. And the person in charge of that place denies that a McLaren was ever there. So, still a dead end. Will keep updating.

Re: McLaren in Washington state

OK, so far I have one guy saying he saw a silver McLaren, confirmed central driving position, etc., etc.

But another person who works at that place is saying there's never been a McLaren on the premises.

Location is the toniest part of Washington state. If there was a McLaren in the Pacific Northwest, it would be there. But we are not aware of any.

Still a mystery.

For the record, Schaevitz has had #045 since at least September.

Bill Gates doesnt own one. Hes an old rich tight a** that stays at home as much as he can. I like in Everett, WA and he isnt 2 far from here. My grandparents brought their truck in for work in Anacortes (which is even further away from Lk. Washington and here) to get work done to it and the mechanics said that Bill Gate's wife's car was just there. It was a 1989 Ford Taurus which doesnt make any sense. They had some guy bring it in for them, and when it was done apparently it was hard to get money out of them because it had to transfer through so many people. This is all true and kind of ironic but if i had $46 billion i sure as hell would be driving a Ferrari.

Re: McLaren in Washington state

Maybe that's why they have $46 billion and you don't. How can you call them tight when they are the world's biggest philanthropists? Not everyone is into cars, you know.
