Whoever "they" are don't know their butt from apple butter. I get 17-18 in a mix of hiway and city, 20-21 hiway. Get it to a dealer or someone with a clue, either there is something wrong with the truck or your calculator.

02' Trailblazer Mileage

Hi, I'm kicking myself for thinking the engine rev sound was normal, in my 2002 Trailblazer. I was only getting 10 to 12 miles per gallon for a couple of years. It turned out to be the fan clutch that stayed engaged all the time. It sounded like a real truck but ate the gas. I've had at least 18mpg on all tanks since. I understand fan clutches have been an issue with this years model.

My 02 TB was getting about 14-15mpg until I switched to a K&N air filter. Now, I get no less than 19-20mpg for mostly city driving. Haven't been on any really long trips yet, but looks promising so far. Hope this helps, Erik

Something definitely isn't right with yours. Get it into the dealer to see about the fan clutch. I have had 2 replaced on mine already & I know a few other people with that same problem with the fan clutch....so it's worth checking out. Especially with the rising fuel costs.....your better off to get it fixed quick!

By the way, my other TB that I had with the inline 6 was getting the same as Bulletholes TB. Mine was completely stock 4X4 with a 3.42 non locking rear (no G80)

Hope this helps & I hope yours gets fixed
