Need Help

Hi Everyone...
It has always been a dream of mine to draw American Muscle cars.. The problem is that I can not draw... I was wondering if someone out there could point me in the right direction on getting started? Is there a really good web site that will teach me how to draw different cars?
Please Help;
Jay

Re: Need Help

Hi. I began to draw couple of weeks ago, but I don't think that my pictures are so bad. You can use a grid method to draw a good cars. Try to draw some cars & than you will see how to make shading & reflections. You should try to draw the first picture.

Re: Need Help

Take a letter size picture of a car and a sheet of paper and a pencil, or 2 pencils. Look at the reference. Stare at the reference. "Burn" the reference into your head. Then start. YYou can measure lines with your pencil, but you can do it with your eyes too. If you are discontent with your result, try again. Thats it.

Re: Need Help

How bad do you want it? Do you really want to invest the time in it?

If so here are some books.

***The best, yet requires dedication***

and simpler ones

(This site is based on Lee's techniques)
Don't be fooled Lee did not invent these techniques but rather looked to the Masters of old(grids)

I have other recommendations for car renderings only but they are not basic in nature.

Take care, hope to see some work soon.

Oh, read the reviews, check them out at your library, and buy them used if you want. Yes, economics is my hobby...
