not firing on one cylinder

hello... i have a question for all of you, i have a 1989 civic dx hatch with a b16a2 in it and lately it has been giving me a little problem it is not firing properly on one cylinder some of the time i replaced the wires and spark plugs and notices the same thing for a little bit so i pulled out the spark plugs and 3 of them where black from sparking and the 4th one was white looked brand new never used... so i put those bosche plat 4's or whatever they are called and it worked for a little bit but it still cuts out everyonce in awhile??? any ideas... thanks alot, i need all the advice i can get quick cuz i am driving it to california from florida on wednesday.

ignition problems man i just replace it with all msd...thats where i would start my be a whole in the pocket but works well with b16's...

sorry i didnt mention it earlier but i already do have all msd ignition stuff... the MSD SPORTS COMPACT ignition (the silver one) a msd coil, msd distributor cap, and msd wires....

check the cap maybe the little metal tap broke off or something

thats what i would say, check the cap, i would also say do a compresion check too, i dont think its that, but check it out anyways.

it has to be something in either the seccondary ignition (anything from cap, to plug wire, to plug) or that injector isnt firing. If it doesnt turn ouut to be either of those, then do the compression check.
